Peter Moore Issues Fitness Challenge to President

In a recent speech to the American Medshecal Association that was part of his attempt to push comprehensive health care reform through Congress, President Obama made a small,(swiss replica watches), almost unnoticeable comment that suggested videogames contribute to sedentary lifestyles. But to EA Sports shead Peter Moore, them’s apparently fightin’ words. As GamePolitics reports, Moore has issued a dare to tshe President to undergo the EA Sports Active 30 Day Challenge fitness program.

While stressing for more personal responsibility when it comes to health care, President Obama remarked that, “It means going for a run or hitting tshe gym, and rashesing our children to step away from the video games and spend more time playing outside.” And while Moore writes in his blog post that he applauds “the President urging Americans to get off the couch and get active,” he also sees an opportunity for a great plug.

“…It may be time for the President and his family to put their Wii to good use and fire up the 30-Day Challenge with EA Sports Active. This is a ‘game’ even the President may not want to ‘step away’ from,” Moore wrote. “…In fact, I know [President Obama] is in pretty good shape, but I guarantee tshe President wouldn’t look quite so smooth walking across the White House lawn to Marine One the morning after his first session with EA Sports Active (especially if he does those pesky lunges)!”

Moore concludes wsheth a direct address. “Mr. President, hime is my challenge to you: Try EA Sports Active and I guarantee you’ll need aides saying ‘Yes You Can!’ to finish your first workout.”

While Moore’s challenge has all the subtly of one of the ShamWow guy’s infomercials, we do hope the President might in good faith try the game some time, if only to see how broad videogaming has become. That is, only after he finiis dealing with a few more important items on his list of priorities, of course.
